Giovanni's Roast Beef & Pizza

Normally, Giovanni's roast beef is mouth watering deliciousness. We've been coming here (Hooksett location) for years. It's been a minute but anticipated it to be the usual goodness and it definitely wasn't. It was as of they did everything differently. Roast beef sub was dry and tasteless. I have never had a bad meal here but now I'm not sure if I'll ever be back. So sad.

I do not normally write reviews but this one I felt needed to be done. I actually wish I could give zero stars. I categorize myself as a patient person and am very sympathetic, understanding, and reasonable to service workers. But if you are going to offer delivery for food and the food does not get delivered until almost TWO HOURS after ordering it, you as a business should not be offering delivery as a service as you clearly cannot accommodate it. almost two hours on a food delivery order is unacceptable. Your "ETA" of arrival should simply state anywhere between open to close if this is the type of service this location is offering. This entire practice is misleading your customers and the fact you are charging delivery fees, convenience fees, and even remotely thinking of asking for a tip is plain and simple ripping a customer off. To top it off, the food that took almost 2 hours to get here was undercooked, and cold, and should be ashamed to even be associated with what I ordered. This transaction was the equivalent of lighting my money on fire. Never again. This place used to be decent, whenever it was sold to these new owners it has been nothing but terrible.

Chef salad was pretty good. They don't sell slices anymore so, that was a bummer. I got a couple a spinach rolls. These are egg rolls stuffed with spinach and supposed to have feta. I didn't see or taste and feta (which has a very strong taste). The filling was almost paste like. I'm really not sure what it was but, I won't waste my money on that again. It was actually too weird to eat

We have taken out from other Giovanni's restaurants with delicious results but this was our first time taking out at the Hooksett location. Unfortunately this location was a let down. First one would think that all Giovanni's locations would offer the same menu but that is not the case! My go to menu item is the Gyro dinner but, surprise, it is not available at this location! I had to settle for the Gyro sandwich which was very yummy. I also upgraded from fries to rice pilaf. What I received was again not the same as I have received from the other Giovanni's location. The container was the same but the portion was half of what I usually get. My wife decided on a large meatball calzone . Simple and easy right? WRONG! What she got was a cheese calzone with some pieces of hamburg in it with NO sauce!!! Even sauce on the side would have been acceptable. We will do take out again from Giovanni's but not from the Hooksett location.

We had a large order, was told it would be 20 minutes-took 45 minutes. The girl was asked to double check to make sure everything was there. When we got home, we were missing a side salad and a sub. The blt sub had 2 pieces of bacon. Onion rings were big with the outer layer still on. We’ll go back to the Londonderry Giovanni’s from now on. So disappointing as we often went to the Hooksett one.
